Review: Eternity Embraced by Larissa Ione

Eternity Embraced (Demonica #4.5) by Larissa Ione
Synopsis (Goodreads):
Desire...
Demon slayer Andrea Cole has always taken down the demons and vampires she hunts without mercy. But when a fellow slayer is captured and turned into a vampire by a sadistic monster, she must choose between loyalty to her family and the man she loves.

Versus Instinct...
Kaden Quinn has dedicated his life to slaying vampires, so when he is turned into one, his greatest nightmare comes to life. And when the woman he loves is thrown into a dungeon with him -- as food -- he must battle new instincts and old desires, and choose between his life, and hers.
My Thoughts: I have to admit that this one worked for me. Larissa Ione gave us a glimpse at the inner workings of the Aegis and the way the Guardians are brainwashed into believing that all demons are evil and managed to make it both creepy and sexy. Not at the same time. I mean, the sexy part came after the creepy when Kaden is battling his bloodlust and desire for Andrea while they're locked up all alone in a cell together. Rawr!

I loved that we got to see some of our old favorites from the series. I loved that Tayla still can't hide anything from E. I loved that Tayla is finding ways to make changes from within the Aegis. I loved the look we got at the bigotry Kaden was subjected to even though his turning wasn't his fault and he did everything he could to protect Andrea when it came down to it.

Heck, I just like this whole world.

    1. It's fun and it has the Lords of Deliverance spin off (which I haven't read yet). LoD will be on my Unbreaking the Shelves list. Just you wait.
