Review: Undercover Alliance by Lilly Cain

Undercover Alliance (The Confederacy Treaty #3) by Lilly Cain
Synopsis (Goodreads):
Sarina is scarred. Her L'inar, the curving nerve lines that enable Inarrii to experience their full sexuality, were severed in battle and she can no longer reach completion. Until she accepts a job as bodyguard to the human ambassador John Bennings, and is astonished to discover that they share a mental bond—a mirrored pathway of thoughts that will allow Sarina to climax.

When John's the target of an attack and they are forced into hiding, he's not sorry to be in close quarters with the compelling Sarina. They explore their erotic connection, and John is happy to demonstrate that humans have more sexual skills than Sarina thought.

To prove that she is whole and rejoin her Inarrii clan, Sarina needs John to bring her to climax in public in accordance with tradition. With a roomful of Inarrii and humans watching, will John be willing to perform as Sarina needs—and will their public display make John vulnerable to another attack?
My Thoughts: Say it with me now: Sexy Sci-Fi is my crack. I'm still irrationally obsessed with finding more of the good stuff and this book hit the spot. So to speak. In fact, this whole series makes me happy. Aliens! Who like to have sex! The humans who can keep up with them both sexually and mentally! I'm bouncing in my seat over this. Seriously.

The worldbuilding in this series is so fun. I really do love that the Inarii's well-being is tied to sex. Without release, they slowly lose their minds. Sarina is on the slow train to crazy town since the injury she sustained keeps her from reaching orgasm with Inarii males. However, John's all too human approach to sex plus their sudden mental bond gives her just the push she needs to finish.

Did I mention that they're stranded on an abandoned base for a while? Just the two of them? With lots of time for sexy shenanigans? *swoon* I do like it when characters are stranded with no one to turn to but each other. And by "like", I mean that I love it.

A very fun series, the overriding arc is slowly coming to a close but danger still lurks in the wings for both our alien cohorts and the humans who match them. Would it surprise anyone if I said I wanted more? No? Excellent. More, please.
