Review: Her Demonic Angel by Felicity Heaton

Her Demonic Angel (Her Angel #5) by Felicity Heaton
Synopsis (Goodreads):
A demonic angel with a heart of ice, Veiron walks a dark path with vengeance on his mind. Nothing will sway him from his mission to destroy his master... until he risks his life to enter Hell once more to save a mortal female. The fiery beauty makes him burn with hungers he must battle and needs he cannot deny, tempting him to surrender body and soul to her.

Erin is convinced her refusal to do the Devil’s bidding will see her die in a terrifying realm straight out of her nightmares. The last thing she expects is the lethally sensual warrior who breaks into her cell and awakens the darkest desires of her heart and a fierce longing to know the heat of his caress.

Pulled into an incredible world where war is set to ignite and darkness is on the rise, Erin races with Veiron to escape the Devil’s legions in a journey fraught with danger and filled with passion that flares white-hot.

When Erin is faced with a life-shattering realisation and an extraordinary destiny, will their love give them the strength to battle both Heaven and Hell or will they be parted forever?
My Thoughts: This series has consistently been one that I can lose myself in and Veiron and Erin's story keeps the streak alive. He's a fallen angel, she's a not-so-ordinary girl who finds herself in the middle of something straight out of her nightmares.

Just so we're on the same page, Erin is the sister of Amelia (the heroine of book 4). Kidnapped at the Devil's bidding, Erin had no idea up to this point that any of this crazy supernatural stuff exists. Now she's dealing with angels and demons and one sexy hunk of fallen angel who makes her heart go pitter patter. Expanding on the events in book 4, the push and pull between Heaven and Hell is brutal and you really don't know who to trust.

Erin and Veiron are an interesting couple because they seem to screw up with each other so often. They say careless things and the next thing you know one of them is stomping off to glower in solitude. Amelia doesn't trust Veiron and she takes every opportunity to try to turn Erin from him. Which is kind of douchy, but I get the whole "protective sister" thing. Still, she could have been a *little* supportive instead of tearing him down every chance she gets.

I love that the storyline continues to expand. I love that we get to meet up with characters from previous books. I love the dynamics we're seeing between the angels and their mates. Big things are coming down the line and I can only hope we get to see even more of those previous characters!

    1. The entire series is excellent. I do suggest starting from book 1, though, because events in later books build on the previous book.

  2. I just read the first book in this series recently. Um.... I just lost my train of thought. That cover is very distracting. *scrolls back up to stare*
