State of the Kelly [3]

Couple of things going on in RtPlandia. Most of them you might not notice but I have time to kill and like to share things. Also, since it was my birthday this week *throws confetti on self*, I can do what I want! So...

First off, since I'm trying to write more, my reading has slacked off a bit. With this in mind, one of the things I've been considering for a while is scaling back my reviews to one a day with the occasional multi-review day. I started doing this a couple weeks ago and I'm really liking the streamlined feel of the blog now.

The downside to only posting one review a day is books I'm reading NOW won't show up here on the blog until January. Yes, January. I'm not sure if I should be proud of this or slightly bashful at my level of organization.

Secondly, I'm playing with a new thing over on the blog's Facebook page. I'm highlighting older reviews with the hashtag #RtPFlashback. This includes reviews from here AND reviews from On a Book Bender and Free Books Need Love, Too! Check those out if you're so inclined. I don't mind.

I have stuff in the works for my alter ego, Kelly Apple, too. I'm working on getting book 2 in my demon/werewolf series out. Books 3 and 4 are swirling around in my noggin and I'm hoping to have both those written by the end of the year. Plus, I'll be NaNo-ing the 3rd book in my zombie apocalypse love story in November.

And AND... tomorrow at noon Pacific, Amanda and I will be talking books and such at KellyApple.com/live. Oh, and I'll also be revealing the cover for book 2 in The Demonkind Collective. Stop on by and watch me babble about THINGS!

It sounds like a lot but... uhh, well, it kind of is.

Anyway. That's the long and short of it. Minor tweaks, major writing, and a look back at some golden oldies.

Good stuff, man. Good stuff.

  1. Happy very belated birthday to you! :)

And don't worry ... I have reviews scheduled WAY INTO 2014. One review a day sounds quite reasonable to me! Ha!
