Synopsis (Goodreads):
Wiping out humanity is his number one objective—until he meets her.

Aramus has no patience or sympathy for the excuses humanity uses to hunt cyborgs down and eradicate them. He’s put up with too much at their hands to ever forgive and forget. But all that changes when he rescues a fragile human doctor who refuses to see him as a machine. She teaches him that perhaps not all emotions are a weakness and that love can make even a cynical cyborg like him stronger.

And for those who’d mock his change of view or threaten his female? Go ahead. His iron knuckles could use some exercise.
Thoughts on Aramus: What do you think it says about me when the bloodthirsty cyborg who wants all humans to die gives me a mad case of the giggles? Okay, okay. It's not so much that he's willing to kill all humans who cross his path as how DISGRUNTLED he is when one certain human makes him FEEL things.

Ye gods! I love it when a man (or cyborg) determined to not fall prey to the love bug gets bitten in a big way.

Aramus is definitely opinionated about humans. He doesn't trust them. He doesn't like them. He doesn't think they have anything to offer. Heck, he's a cyborg. He has the ability to upgrade whenever he needs to. What can a puny human do that he can't?

That turns out to be a loaded question. Riley's acceptance of him and the way she can see right through him is a shock to Aramus's system. Her being in danger sends all his protective instincts into high gear. The fact that the two of them are compatible in the sack just rounds out the awesome.

For the record, I'm totally enamored of this series and tend to enjoy everything Eve Langlais writes. I just can't resist her surly heroes and the sassy heroines who love them.
