Synopsis (Goodreads):
A lion’s pride isn’t defined only by those he commands but also resides with his hair, so when a human dares to butcher Arik’s mane, he gets his revenge—and claims her as his mate.
A billionaire CEO and leader of the largest East Coast pride, Arik is a ladies man and a lion. Used to commanding others, and obedience, he can’t believe it when a hairdresser with tempting curves chops off a hunk of his precious mane.

But her biggest mistake is in running from him.

Run as fast as you can, little mouse, because this cat loves to chase—and pounce.

Oh, and he also likes to nibble on tender bits. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for a human woman, a woman who can make the impossible happen because everyone knows lions can’t purr…until now.
Thoughts on When an Alpha Purrs: Disclaimer: I love Eve Langlais's books like whoa. So, yeah. Expect some fangirling and general flailing because I tend to do that with all her books. Just prepare yourself and we'll be fine.

Duuuuude. Arik and his hair. Kira taking off like a bat out of hell when the shearing happened. I found great amusement in her wild flight from his fury. I found even more amusement in how his Beta and Omega made fun of him for the incident. Arik may be Alpha, but his second and enforcer get in some good digs about the chopping.

As always, Eve Langlais gives us a heroine who is sassy, a hero who is growly (maybe not *always* on this one, but often), and a slew of secondary characters who made me giggle. I do adore extended families who go out of their way to butt their noses in where they're not needed. And territorial mamas. Especially when said mama meets her match in her son's mate.

I can't wait to see how hard Hayder and Leo fall. BRING IT!

  1. I just read Hayder's book. I really enjoyed it. Now I need to get to Leo's. He is the one I really wanted. Great review.

    1. And book 4 is coming soon. (actually, I don't know when it's coming. Soon-ish would perhaps be more appropriate to say.)
