Synopsis (Goodreads):
Betty Dawsey knows that breaking things off with Thom Lange is for the best. He’s nice, but boring, and their relationship has lost its spark. But steady and predictable Thom, suddenly doesn’t seem so steady and predictable when their condo explodes and she’s kidnapped by a couple of crazies claiming that Thom isn’t who he says he is.

Thom is having a hellish week. Not only is he hunting a double agent, but his fiancĂ© dumped him, and thanks to his undercover life, she’s been kidnapped.

Turns out Thom is Operative Thom and he’s got more than a few secrets to share with Betty if he’s going to keep her alive. With both their lives on the line, their lackluster connection is suddenly replaced by an intense one. But in his line of work, feelings aren’t wanted or desired. Because feelings can be a lethal distraction.
Thoughts on Lies: Betty and Thom, guys. THESE TWO. I mean, I totally get where Betty was coming from when she called Thom on his actions. BUT I also get that Thom might be a booty-kicking spy who can infiltrate and blend like a boss when on a mission, but his personal social skills are a little rusty.

Okay, okay. A lot rusty.

Basically, the guy's clueless when it comes to actual relationships. He TRIES to get it right, but statistics and playing it safe so you don't draw attention to yourself only gets you so far. Especially when you're cheating your lady friend on sexy times. Let's just say that's not a great thing to admit to and move along.

Not that our girl Betty was quick to move along after that revelation, but she ended up getting a true taste of Thom's skills after so I guess she did okay.

Killers, spies, lies, and more than a few relationship woes that need to be worked through. Thom and Betty are EVERYTHING once Thom started being honest about himself. They're ridiculously fun and intense and, boy, do they generate heat.

And the zoo? SO MUCH FUN. Those guys need their own books. Because once one of their ranks fall, the others can't be long after, amirite? (Okay, maybe I'm not right. A girl can dream, can't she?)
