Synopsis (Goodreads):
London’s made mistakes. A lot of them. Enough so that she’s been marked for elimination by a powerful Unseelie Sidhe. As a human cursed with an addiction to the Touch of the Sidhe, her life and her future depends on finding a Sidhe who will hire her on a permanent basis. The only way to put her reputation for causing trouble behind her is to prove herself by tracking down a powerful druid who’s endangering the Sidhe. But when old enemies resurface, can London trust the man she was sent to investigate? Or will this finally be her fatal mistake? My Thoughts: For all of London's bad calls and lapses in judgement she's made since she was cursed with the Touch, she's an intriguing character. I honestly don't know if Lugh's the best choice for her as a patron. Lugh is very calculated in his interactions with her, whereas the Unseelie (when they aren't out to kill her for her part in Malcolm's imprisonment) seem more upfront and connected to the world. Which makes sense since, you know, Lugh hadn't ventured into the world of man for a while before the collapse of the Mounds.
I like London. I like how dogged she is. She's a fighter and a survivor and the things that she needs might finally be falling into her lap. Not that I expect it to be easy for her. No way. I expect that things will get worse before they get better. Because that's the way addiction works. And London? She's addicted, though it's through no fault of her own.
The end is coming up fast. I'm excited!
