The Bermuda Triangle. Pirates. The Peanut. What could possibly go wrong?Thoughts on Dragos Takes a Holiday: I think I sort of love Peanut. He's going to be a handful for Dragos and Pia as he grows up but I think they're up to the job. I only say this because he's an adorable handful in this book -- shapeshifting shenanigans ahoy! -- and Dragos and Pia rise to the challenge beautifully. I mean, at least they didn't throw him over a cliff to teach him how to fly, as gargoyles have a tendency to do, right?
Dragos Cuelebre needs a vacation. So does Pia, his mate. When the First Family of the Wyr head to Bermuda for some much needed R&R, it's no ordinary undertaking - and no ordinary weekend in the sun. Between hunting for ancient treasure buried beneath the waves and keeping track of their son, Liam—a.k.a. Peanut, whose Wyr abilities are manifesting far ahead of schedule—it’s a miracle that Pia and Dragos can get any time together.
They're determined to make the most of each moment, no matter who tries to get in their way.
And did we mention pirates?
I freely admit that Dragos and Pia are one of my favorite couples. I adored them together even when Dragos was steaming mad about her thieving from him in book 1 and the fascination hasn't died out yet. Getting to see them when they're not in the middle of crazy, life-threatening situations (in theory -- it is supposed to be a vacation, after all) makes me heart go pitter-patter. I like those two together. I just like them.
So. Possible sunken treasure, a kiddo who's going to scare the immortality right out of his parents, and sexy times on the beach. Everything I'd expect from these particular Wyr.
