Synopsis (Goodreads):
Hell’s trying to squeeze its way onto Earth via the Grand Canyon. Elise and James, a demon hunting team, haven’t spoken about that thing that happened in Copenhagen for six months. With all the pressure boiling under the surface, something's sure to blow.
Thoughts on Dying Night: I absolutely adore the complexity of the Descent series, so revisiting Elise and James is always a treat. Even when it's gruesome and bloody and full of demons trying to claw their way into the world. Even when you know these two have A LOT to go through before they can grab onto their moment.

And, yeah, knowing what's in store for the two of them makes this story just a little more bittersweet. Because the road they're traveling is downright painful and will get even worse and they have this moment here that's...*gives everyone crazy eyes* Shoot. I don't want to give anything away.

Suffice to say, this is a dark, brooding glimpse at the fraying relationship that is James and Elise before the world buries them beneath the crapton of crazy that's coming. These two have their ups and downs and this moment teeters between the two.

Also: Malcolm. What was Elise thinking there?
