Synopsis (Goodreads):
Committed to the rule of law, Brannick falls hard for a beautiful fae woman who illegally seduces him in his dreams…

Brannick works with Juliet Tunney to help several human women escape the nightmare of Five Bridges. But something isn’t right. Juliet acts as though she knows him really well, yet he’s only met her once. Unless…the dreams he’s been having about her aren’t dreams at all. When a sensual dream surfaces in vivid images and sounds, he knows something’s up with the beautiful fae woman from Revel Territory. And if what he suspects is true, Juliet has a lot to answer for.

Juliet fell hard for Brannick the night she first signed on to help out with his rescue operation. She even violated a serious Revel Territory law by invading his dreams. What she hadn’t expected was how readily he took her up on her illegal dreamgliding offer. With her special fae abilities, she’s been his secret lover for five months. Sworn to withhold the nature of their dream-relationship from Brannick’s conscious mind, she faces the hard truth that she’s in danger of losing him forever because she broke the law. Once the truth surfaces, will Brannick ever be able to forgive her?
Thoughts on Dark Flame: I'm seriously torn on this world. I like parts of it A LOT, but I'm also weirdly squicked out by other parts. Like the forced drug use and women being kidnapped and enslaved to work in sex clubs. Since the good guys are resolutely working against the icky stuff, I guess the author did a good job. But still. Those bad guys are BAD.

As for Brann and Juliet...they didn't have the best start to their relationship. Mostly because Juliet did a no-no when she seduced him in his dreams. So, they have that to work through. Plus, Brann blows sort of hot and cold. One side of him doesn't give a fig about what laws Juliet broke to bring them together. The other is weirdly uptight about it. Well, not weirdly. He is an officer of the law. He should uphold the law even when smokin' hot fae women are seducing him.

It's still hard to have him going from being all into her to giving her the cold shoulder.

Throw in a dangerous criminal, a even more dangerous rescue, and a werewolf who can't control his howl and you end up with a darn good time. Even with the sex clubs and illicit drugging. Jerky bad guys. They really need to get what's coming to them. ALL OF THEM.
