Synopsis (Goodreads):
Half-bloods with Thierry’s skill set are given two options. They can join the conclave’s marshal program, or they can pack their bags. Turn down the job offer, and you’ve just shredded your residency pass for the mortal realm and booked yourself a one-way ticket to Faerie.

Texas is the only home Thierry has ever known, and she’s not going anywhere. Even if it means following in her notorious father’s footsteps as a peacekeeper. But pinning on the badge opens her eyes to the fact sometimes fae need protection too, and that sometimes humans are the real monsters.
Thoughts on Dog with a Bone: Random disclosure: I actually got invested in this world with the Gemini series and loved all the crazy so much that I'm backtracking to meet Thierry. Honestly, she and Shaw are just as enthralling at Cam/Graeson for me (and that's saying a lot because I LOOOOOVED the Cam/Graeson dynamic) and I'm itching to start book 2 already.

Biggest draw: the battle both Thierry and Shaw face with their hungers. Being an incubus has to kinda blow when you're constantly faced with a ravenous hunger that you can never quite sate. Until you meet one half-blood scrapper who's barely touched the edges of her power, that is. The power dynamic could have been icky between Thierry and Shaw, but it worked on so many levels. They complement each other perfectly and the tension between them is seriously steamy.

SERIOUSLY STEAMY.

The mystery is properly gruesome, the heroes are properly heroic, and this world makes me grin. Book 2 is calling me.
