Synopsis (Goodreads):
When Olivia was a child, she witnessed the slaying of a pack of vampires and now refuses to tell who did it. Some of the elders of the vampire tribes want her turned, the others just want her dead. The seductive Jaxon may be her only hope for survival, unfortunately, since he is a vampire she's not sure where his loyalties lie.
Thoughts on In Her Shadows: I haven't read any of the other books in this series, so I wasn't quite as upon the vampire politics, but I followed along. More or less. I wasn't completely behind why Vladamir did what he did (why he chose to torment Olivia all those years, actually), but I'm just kinda handwaving that to get to the Olivia/Jaxon sexy times. Actually, I wasn't completely sold on why Jaxon being with her was such a no-no either.

Huh. Well, maybe I would have understood better if I'd read the previous books. I don't know. I enjoyed it for the most part, I just had a problem following along with some of the reasoning behind why some actions were taken.
