Synopsis (Goodreads):
Can a stubborn human free a cursed alien shifter?

Once upon a time Malrik was cold, wealthy, and arrogant. Convinced he was too important to ever fall victim to the curse of the unmated Vultor, he dismissed every female brought before him. Now he roams the mountains, locked in his beast form. Until one day he catches an unfamiliar scent - one that awakens a part of him he’d thought lost forever. A scent belonging to a pretty little human he will do anything to claim.

Bella is perfectly content living on the outskirts of the village with her eccentric father. When he fails to return from a trip, she goes in search of him only to find herself in the hands of a massive, scarred beast. She should be terrified, but despite his fearsome appearance and growled commands, she is more intrigued than scared.

Can she reach the male hidden inside the beast? Or is Malrik lost forever?
Thoughts on Cursed Alien: Malrik is the next Vultor to find his special someone and he's...well, he's nearly been consumed by the curse of the unmated and pretty much everyone thinks he's a lost cause. Ehh, maybe not everyone. I mean, he did help Korrin when Tessa was poisoned and Agatha seems to know more than she lets on, but most everyone else who knows about the curse thinks he's too far gone to ever be more than a beast in the wild.

Fortunately for Malrik, Bella crosses his path and changes everything. She's kind and not too afraid of him. Come to think, she's more afraid for her father than for herself. Plus, she has a keep's worth of tech to explore and attempt to repair and it's hard to stay afraid when the hulking beast holding her in his keep let's her tinker to her heart's content.

As for Malrik, he's a Vultor torn between his (currently) dominant beast side and the other side of him that is pushing forward the more time he spends around Bella. The other side has memories of manners and society and knows that pushing Bella too fast and hard will ultimately drive her away. Somehow, he has to figure out how to balance both sides of himself if he hopes to keep Bella beside him.

A broken keep, more tech than a tinkerer can shake a stick at, a beast who needs to remember how to be a little less feral, and a lady who knows a good male when she meets him. Even if he is wearing fur and claws at the time. *thumbs up*
