Synopsis (Goodreads):
I just won the bride lottery!
Except I don’t want to go to Earth, marry some spoiled rich kid, and live in the lap of luxury. That’s someone else’s dream, not mine. My life is here on Stars’ End, farming cheeka silk and breathing fresh mountain air.

There’s only one thing to do: I pack my gear, say a temporary goodbye to my beloved cheekas, and set out into the great unknown. I only need to survive until my twenty-fifth birthday before I’m too old to be a colony bride.

The only way there is through land marked Here Be Ogres, but nobody has seen one in years. Surely, I can’t have phenomenally craptastic luck back-to-back, right?
Thoughts on Dad Bod: Ogre: Wren's hit the jackpot when she was called for the bride lottery and it is very much not one she hoped to win. Since she doesn't want to be shipped off to Earth, she packs her bag and heads into the wilderness. AS ONE DOES.

Fortunately, Wren has some survival skills. So she COULD survive until it's safe for her to return to her farm. That said, that Here Be Ogres notation on her map is pretty accurate. And the place she's chosen to hole up is firmly in Carack's territory. Which is not a problem, exactly, because Carack is kind of intrigued by the little human on his land.

Circumstances has Wren moving into Carack's home and once they're sharing space THINGS HAPPEN. Admittedly, things happen slowly because Carack is a gentleman and doesn't want to pressure or presume, but they do happen. (and his mama is THRILLED that he's found someone!)

A little danger, an odious family member, sweet little critters, an ogre who had given up on finding his special someone, and a lady who never expected to find romance in the wilderness. *thumbs up*
