Synopsis (Goodreads):
Love ignites in the City That Never Sleeps, but can it last?

Hopeless romantic Isla has had a crush on introspective cartoonist Josh since their first year at the School of America in Paris. And after a chance encounter in Manhattan over the summer, romance might be closer than Isla imagined. But as they begin their senior year back in France, Isla and Josh are forced to confront the challenges every young couple must face, including family drama, uncertainty about their college futures, and the very real possibility of being apart.

Featuring cameos from fan-favorites Anna, Étienne, Lola, and Cricket, this sweet and sexy story of true love—set against the stunning backdrops of New York City, Paris, and Barcelona—is a swoonworthy conclusion to Stephanie Perkins’s beloved series.
Thoughts on Isla and the Happily Ever After: Oh, my poor heart. Everything about this book worked for me. From Isla's sweet, tongue-tying crush on Josh from the first moment she saw him to being able to see herself through his eyes. OH, MY HEART. I loved loved loved experiencing their romance. I loved seeing the other side of Josh. I loved how Isla saw him. I just... *clutches this book tight*

As with the other books in this series, we got to see the sweet, sometimes comical side of falling in love. Things don't always go smoothly when two people are learning one another and Stephanie Perkins captures that perfectly. Although Isla's face bashing bloody nose might not be something everyone does, those fluttery butterflies as you start to second guess yourself and your potential partner's responses to the little things felt so SO real.

And yes, the insecurities. OH, HOW THEY HURT. Watching both Isla and Josh come to the realization that they have so much to offer those around them was both painful and uplifting.

I adore this series. It's beautiful and sometimes awkward and I just want to go back and read all the books all over again. Plus, seeing former couples made my poor bruised heart go pitter patter. I love revisiting characters and seeing them through the eyes of others.

*draws glittery hearts all over the place*

  1. The one thing I love about Stephanie Perkins's books -- besides the comical side -- is how *real* everything feels. Like it could really happen.
