Number of books I’ve read today: 3
Total number of books I’ve read: 3
Books read: If You Can't Stand the Heat, A Lucky Day to Die, Darksider
Today #insixwords: Achievement unlocked: books have been read!
Things I learned on Twitter: Ha. Oh Twitter. Clearly you had too much of my homemade dessert liquor and quietly crawled into a corner to sleep off your drunk. That's why you pooped out on us in the evening, right? RIGHT?
Final Tally: One steamy kitchen, one outrageous battle, and one dreamy couple.

Number of books I’ve read today: 1
Total number of books I’ve read: 4
Books read: Night's Deep Hush
Today #insixwords: Something smells weird in my house.
Things I learned on Twitter: I wasn't on Twitter. Why? I HAD TO WORK. WITH PANTS ON. I don't want to talk about. I'm far too traumatized to discuss pants-wearing and report-writing. *cries into my soggy cereal*
Final Tally: One dark and disturbing dreamscape.

Number of books I’ve read today: 2
Total number of books I’ve read: 6
Books read: Craved by an Alpha, Death Scream
Today #insixwords: Coffee. SO MUCH COFFEE. COKE CAN! (only Amanda will get that last part, but THAT'S OKAY!)
Things I learned on Twitter: TWITTER CHAT, PEOPLE. I led it. Amanda told everyone how I've never been in the snow. Entirely accurate, mind you, but then all I could think about was all you poor souls who will probably die this winter BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU'RE NEAR SNOW. RIGHT? Anyway, I have a random story: I had to go to court today for work and I ended up telling my boss all about the time my sisters and I drove to Disneyland and my youngest sister spent 3 hours out of the drive in the backseat doing whale song. She followed that up by recapping IN EXQUISITE DETAIL the entire plot of The Mighty Ducks which we'd all seen. *cries salty tears of amusement and minor pain over that memory* Good times. Good times.
Final Tally: One sexy, shapeshifting couple and one brutal scream.

Number of books I’ve read today: 2
Total number of books I’ve read: 8
Books read: Bring Me a Dream, Rocky Retreat
Today #insixwords: Holy bananas! It's not Friday yet?!?!
Things I learned on Twitter: I wasn't ON Twitter today. In fact, I didn't really think I was on ANYWHERE. But I did get a bonus coffee and everybody knows bonus coffee works WONDERS on my productivity. Oh, GAWD. I am so lying. When I drink a lot of coffee, I talk without taking a breath and tell amusing stories about Disney Prince Peen and my sisters. NOT AT THE SAME TIME. Because the Disney prince Peen is ALL MINE! *gives everyone the crazy eyes*
Final Tally: One bout of nightmares and dreamscapes and one sexy, snowed in couple!

Number of books I’ve read today: 1
Total number of books I’ve read: 9
Books read: Radio Silence
Today #insixwords: Bring on the post-apocalyptic nightmares, yo!
Things I learned on Twitter: I was decidedly offline today. Because that's what I do as the week starts to wind down. In other news...no, there is no other news. It's just a big, gaping, black ball of nothing going on here.
Final Tally: One journey through a technology-less world.

Number of books I’ve read today: 1
Total number of books I’ve read: 10
Books read: Edged Blade
Today #insixwords: Wait. What? Where'd the day go?!?!
Things I learned on Twitter: HOLY BANANA SLUGS. Seriously, what happened to the day? I sat down to write some reviews and ended up doing everything BUT write those reviews. *stares at everyone in confusion* SEND HELP! I THINK I FELL INTO A WORMHOLE! Feel free to send the Doctor. He knows about wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff. But only Ten. He's my favorite. *deep heartfelt sigh*
Final Tally: One badass assassin finding herself again.

Number of books I’ve read today: 2
Total number of books I’ve read: 12
Books read: Blade Song, Delirium
Today #insixwords: Goodbye, #boutofbooks. See you in May!
Things I learned on Twitter: I tend to go radio silent as the readathon winds down. This is normal. I'm cool with it. But it does mean I wasn't online much today. Instead, I did fun thigns like grocery shopping and attempting to unclog a kitchen drain without barfing up dinner. GOOD TIMES!
Final Tally: One badass assassin getting thrown into the deep end and one seriously effed up dreamworld.
Final Thoughts: As always, I am SO appreciative of everyone who stopped by and participated in Bout of Books. I LOVED seeing people step in to stop the negative "I'm failing" tweets/posts/etc. You can't know how wonderful I find that. Honestly, guys, if you showed up and even thought about books, YOU WON BOUT OF BOOKS. That's how this works.
See y'all in May! But don't be strangers between now and then. Want to talk books or just say HI? Shout it out on twitter. (Hopefully you've figured out that I'm @soulswallo, but just in case you didn't... I'm
Good luck! I'm working all week too so I have no idea how much I'll get to read, but they're always so much fun! :)

Thank you!
DeleteYou've finished 3 books already? WOW. That's amazing!
ReplyDeleteHaving fun is definitely the most important part! Which is what I'm trying to do this year instead of forcing myself to read so many books - which always happens when I do a read-a-thon.
Good luck with your goals! Happy reading :D
I'll admit this might be the kick in the pants I need to clear out some of my older review requests. I LIKE KICKS IN THE PANTS! No, wait. I don't like those. But I do like getting stuff done. So, yay to that!
DeleteWow, three books on day one? That's awesome! I am on day 2 and I have finished two and am working on the third today.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Good luck!
DeleteWow, you've read so much! Good luck! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you! Good luck to you, too!
DeleteAwesome that you read all the books on your to-read list on your first day! Congrats!! Here's how my Day One ended up. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYou are so much better at this then me. You've even reviewed two of your books. I really need to get on that. Good luck with the rest of your read-a-thon!
ReplyDeleteThe reviewing is the thing I'm most proud of. If I don't stay on top of it WOE! It gets crazy out of control.
DeleteOoh your updates are very entertaining I can tell just by Day 1! Nice work! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteHeh! Thank you!
DeleteCongrats on reading 3 books already and making your goal!
ReplyDeleteThank you!

ReplyDeleteYou're updates are hilarious btw!
Good luck for the rest of the challenge
Congrats on all that reading! You must have words imprinted on your eyes lol.
ReplyDeleteLoving your updates. Thankyou for the chuckles x
No words printed there yet, but I hold out hope! LOL!
DeleteThank you!
Wow! You read so much this week. Tell me your secret wondrous ways.
ReplyDeleteMy secret? Shorter books. They make me feel accomplished! I think the bulk of these were between 100 and 200 pages. I can knock one out in an hour or two. (also, I kinda read fast. It's my gift.)
DeleteWow, 12 books. That's awesome! I finished the week at 9 and I am pretty happy with that. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was feeling motivated!
DeleteCongrats on a successful BoB! Definitely be seeing you in May! Here's how my Bout of Books 12 ended up.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! May will be here before we know it!
Delete12 books?! Well done! That's fantastic! :D
