State of the Kelly [6]

I haven't done one of these in AGES, but seeing as how it's the beginning of a new year it feels appropriate.

So. Things have been happening in RtPlandia and the world of Kelly Rubidoux/Apple.

I published 17 books as Kelly Apple in 2014. SEVENTEEN. I far surpassed the original goal I set for myself and have Ari and her monstrous friends to thank for it. 13 of my 17 releases were part of my Monstrous Tales series (9 installments, 3 bundles, and the complete series). I also released book 2 in my Demonkind Chronicles series, books 1 and 2 in my Stronghold series (zombie apocalypse love story, yo!), and book 1 in my new dark fairy tale series.

To say I did a lot of writing in 2014 would be pretty accurate.

I also went back to work full time. Outside the house. Which sucks because I have to wear pants EVERY DAY, but I enjoy the work and have plenty of downtime to brainstorm story ideas and stare blankly at the wall as I plot out what shenanigans my characters are going to get into next.

For Reading the Paranormal, 2014 saw me trying to be a little more on top of review requests and such. I set a personal goal of only accepting books that I could get read and reviewed within two months. Meaning, I REALLY had to limit myself on how many books I was accepting. Especially once I went back to work and my reading time was cut in half. I'm pleased to say for the most part I managed to stick to my self-imposed time limit. Yay, me!

What I'm trying to say is that RtP will be around for a while still. Reviews are scheduled, my alternate persona is writing books like mad, and pants are still the enemy.
