Synopsis (Goodreads):
When vampire hunter Max Denton goes undercover at an English estate over the Christmas holidays, the last person he wants to find there is the lovely Savina Eleiasa. But present she is--and on the arm of her new fiancé.
Thoughts on Raging Winter: Geez, Max has some issues, doesn't he? I mean, I get how his wife's brutal death has shaped his life and everything, but the guy just walked away from Savina, the woman who loves him and is totally down with his vampire hunting ways, and disappeared without a word. OUCH. I mean that. OUCH.

He's lucky Savina didn't do more than just threaten him with a gun when she confronted him again. Heck, he should have threatened himself with a gun for her just to even the playing field.

To be fair, Max was as broken up about his leaving as Savina was, but at least he knew he wasn't dead in a ditch somewhere. She didn't know that. She had to live through two agonizing years of not knowing anything and he's darn lucky she didn't extract her pound of flesh in a much more visceral manner than she did.

That said, these two might just make a perfect pair if Max can keep from bolting every time he fears for Savina's safety. Time will tell.
