Synopsis (Goodreads):
Most people would describe Katherine Berger as a responsible girl with a big heart, a loyal friend who takes care of those close to her, and the possessor of a wicked sense of humor. There was something about her that most people didn't know. "My name is Kat Berger, and I love porn."

When twenty-five-year-old Kat is dragged to a porn convention by her best friend, she's both embarrassed and nervous. The last thing she ever expected was to meet someone who makes her laugh like no other. This is a story about acceptance and friendship, and a love born out of the most unexpected of places.
Thoughts on Lingus: Okay. So I've read a slew of Mariana Zapata books recently. Don't quote me, but I think this is my 4th one in 3 days. I'm not even going to apologize because have you READ her books? They're good. REALLY good.

That said, this book didn't have quite the emotional punch for me as the others. For all it followed some of the same themes, it was more light-hearted (nothing wrong with that, but Tristan has WAY less angst than those grumpy bastards in her other books).

Buuuuut...Tristan being so genuinely sweet as a person, there wasn't that level of "wow, he's going to have to REALLY pull his head out of his butt if things are going to work out." The biggest stumbling block between Kat and Tristan was that she knew she couldn't share him. Well, that and Tristan put her firmly in the friend zone and they both kind of got stuck spinning their wheels. Still, the thought of him being with other women while they were together didn't work for her. So they both ignored their chemistry (as best they could) and tried to keep things platonic.

Yeah, *spoiler* they went beyond platonic. In a good way. The BEST way. So while I don't necessarily think Tristan and Kat hold up to Aiden and Vanessa or Sal and Rey in my affections, they made me smile. They're sweet together and I enjoyed their story.

And I'm going to keep reading Mariana Zapata books until I've bled myself dry.
