Synopsis (Goodreads):
It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress.

Something blue.

I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old.”

Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true.

The name embossed on the blue stationery: Reed Eastwood, obviously the most romantic man who ever lived. I also discovered he’s the most gorgeous. If only my true-love fantasies had stopped there. Because I’ve since found out something else about Mr. Starry-Eyed.

He’s arrogant, cynical, and demanding. I should know. Thanks to a twist of fate, he’s my new boss. But that’s not going to stop me from discovering the story behind his last love letter. A love letter that did not result in a happily ever after.

But that story is nothing compared to the one unfolding between us. It’s getting hotter, sweeter, and more surprising than anything I could have imagined.

Something new.

But I have no idea how this one is going to end...
Thoughts on Hate Notes: I won't quite say Charlotte and Reed were enemies when they first met, but they were HIGHLY antagonistic toward one another. In an amusing way. I mean, those two sparred like champs and they weren't afraid to let loose. Sometimes that sparring took the form of air-typing in frustrated fury, but everybody needs an outlet, right?

Right. So. Charlotte and Reed. After finding his love note, Charlotte had a picture in her head of the guy that was...not true. Or maybe it was true, it just wasn't true now. Circumstances had hardened Reed into the arrogant cynic who irritates the heck out of her and Charlotte just kind of goes with it. Being forced to work closely with the guy isn't the best thing in the world, but what can a girl do? And if, along the way, she ends up understanding him far more than she thought she would, these things happen. Especially when one has a meddling grandmother to move things along.

Reed really does have reasons for being scathing. Charlotte brings him to life again after the painful ending of his engagement and that's hard for him to deal with. She pushes him and challenges him and makes him rethink the things he's grown to believe. GOOD STUFF, CHARLOTTE.

Not-quite-enemies to lovers. I liked it. I liked it a lot.
