Synopsis (Goodreads):
After enduring a horrific childhood, William Jackson lives a solitary existence working as a computer programmer from his Minnesota home. His safe routine is blown to pieces when the daily sight of an unknown woman walking her dog sends his heart into a tailspin.

Jenny Fitzgerald’s love life is at a definite low. Her only potential date in sight is her annoying and creepy coworker, Evan—until a stunning man appears before her like a gift from some kindly sex god. Who is she to turn down what’s offered to her on a hunky blond platter?

Will and Jenny’s friendship develops as their hunger grows into love. Meanwhile, a jealous Evan watches, his rage building until it explodes in a brutal act of violence that tears Jenny’s life apart. Will struggles to help her rebuild her courage and sense of self as his own demons and fragile memories threaten their chance at happiness—but perhaps they can learn to heal each other.
Thoughts on Breaking the Silence: I have THE BIGGEST soft spot for big, shy, virgin heroes. I know that sounds like a lot of things to be throwing together, but there's something about the big, shy virgins that makes me smile. Throw in some serious gorgeousness and intense focus when it comes to his special someone (and Will gets VERY focused when it comes to Jenny) and I am pleased.

So. Will. The guy has to work up the nerve to talk to the woman he sees walking her dog past his house almost every day. When he does make the attempt, things go well. Very well. You know, since Jenny is into the big, gorgeous guy who doesn't talk much. Sure, sure, things are a little awkward in some ways, but Jenny likes him and he's pretty easy on the eyes and she starts to look forward to seeing him on those walks.

THINGS HAPPEN. Good things. Date things. Sexy things. Then a VERY BAD THING happens and both of them have to come to terms with that (amongst other things) before they can move forward. There's a lot of things going on here, okay? And I liked them all.

Awkward times, dog walking times, sexy times, coming to terms with events times. ALL GOOD. I like.
