Synopsis (Goodreads):
If you thought being over forty meant the end of adventures, then you're in for a shock as Bree, and her ragtag bunch take you on a side-splitting rollercoaster ride!

Stuck with Alan's ghost following her around, Bree is in hot water now with no easy way out as she's been framed for his murder and plunked in the local pokey.

If that weren't bad enough, Gran's ghost has been kidnapped, and all clues point to the Big Easy—New Orleans.

With the police on her never-mind-the-size butt, two men vying for her attentions, and a mystery wrapped around the murder of her Gran and ex, she has more than enough to keep her stressed and turning prematurely gray.

So when a local coven stirs things up in NOLA, and a new nemesis appears on the scene, Bree is ready to meet them head-on.

As soon as she's popped a few Advil.
Thoughts on Midlife Ghost Hunter: Okay. Bree's dealing with a boatload of STUFF (being accused of murder, having the big guns in Savannah gunning for her, and a WHOLE LOT OF OTHER THINGS) and she's pulling on her big girl panties and refusing to take the easy path. Which is pretty in character for her ever since she started to find herself, tbh. The lady barrels forward even when the odds are against her and she has a knack for making things happen in her favor.

Things she's dealing with: a murder rap, a ghostly, irritating ex-husband, a hunky fae lord who runs hot and cold, another dude who...ehh, well. Corbin is what he is and I don't see that working long term for all Bree's a little interested. She also has to find her grandmother's ghost, figure out what got her grandmother killed, and save a little girl.

Fortunately, she has friends she can lean on. Some of them are more lean-worthy than others, but they're a solid crew overall and they try their hardest to make sure Bree isn't walking into danger alone. To be fair, however, Bree doesn't always make it easy to keep tabs on her. The lady is a wee bit fearless sometimes.

A little danger, a lot of witches, more than a few dead folks, and one determined woman who's not going to walk away when someone needs her. *thumbs up*
