Synopsis (Goodreads):
Caitlin and Trevor inherit a set of enchanted knitting needles, needles that tangle them in another supernatural yarn. The answers may stitch up their family's longstanding mystery—but loose their most hated enemy from his slipknot. Can the couple cast off this twisted enigma or will their inheritance unravel their lives?
Thoughts on Witch's Wood: From a supernatural perspective, Caitlin and Trevor have had an easy year. They haven't been called on to help otherworldly people or critters, but they've been busy in other ways. Ways that involve expanding their family, expanding their business, and expanding their education.

Then a pair of knitting needles come into their possession and suddenly they're right back in the supernatural middle of things again. Okay, maybe it's not exactly RIGHT back. It takes a wee bit of time before they figure out why these particular objects have found their way to them. In their defense, they have a new baby and the individual they think they might be helping isn't quick on giving answers. It takes a few close calls, a couple brushes with danger, and a heaping dose of intuition before things begin to come together.

In other words, they're not so much slow as just working their way through the clues that have been sparingly dropped on them.

Much like the expansion of their family, both Caitlin and Trevor also have a growth of self. Answers about the curse on Trevor's family are answered and Caitlin steps into a role that...well, I don't know if she exactly wanted it, but it does seem to suit her. Plus, given their predilection toward ending up in dangerous situations, I think her new role will help. I'm not saying any help is good help when it comes to gods and monsters and otherworldly things, but I feel pretty good about the direction these two are heading.
