Sure, sure, Garek has a pretty big hurdle with his newly appointed warlord-ship and his newly formed maelstrom bond, but AGAIN...fated mates make things happen.
New world, new critters, nasty baddies, Earth women trying to find a new start, and warlords who like what they see. *thumbs up*

His shyness doesn't help either. He keeps pushing Rayne away and absolutely not reading those signals she's putting out. Which leads to a few awkward moments. As you might imagine. On the plus side, she's a fighter and doesn't give up easily. Durran's kindness and utter hotness keep bringing her back and soon the two of them are finding their groove. Ohhhh, yeahhhh.
A little danger, a chance for Rayne to flex her scientific mind, some steam, some smokin' kisses, and a few traditions being challenged. Am I enjoying this series? I SURE AM!

Which isn't to say they don't find time (eventually) to get handsy. They do. It just takes time and patience and a little, tiny abduction to get there. Abduction and seduction, amirite?!?!
A little danger (not cool!), a newfound family, baking, building, and steamy kisses whenever these two can grab a few minutes to themselves. *thumbs up*

Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little. Josie likes Zetar and she's definitely turned off by his on-again, off-again attitude, but none of the others warriors are even on her radar. That said, the hot and cold things is a MAJOR uggh for her given her past. Which means, Josie also has some issues she needs to deal with before she and her warrior can find their HEA.
A little case of kidnapping (or, lady-napping, I guess) that ends up with Zetar captured alongside Josie (although they're wanted for VERY different things), and the two are forced to spend time together without the option of running away when things get too real. Zetar still has his issues, though, and it takes a while before he can deal with them.
A little danger, an unexpected glimpse into Ferlaern history, a surprising choice, and two people who have to get past their pasts before they can move forward with a future. *thumbs up*
