Synopsis (Goodreads):
Of all the things that could have landed in her yard… it had to be him.Thoughts on When Gracie Met the Grump: Oh, MAN. Gracie and her grumpy, grumpy superhero were everything I wanted to read and then some. She's lived her life being careful and she's skating the edge of exhaustion from being on the run pretty much as long as she can remember and he is NOT pleased to be forced to rely on her. To be fair, she isn't thrilled to have a hurt superhero who doesn't do much more than glower and grunt at her camping out in her house.
For most people, finding a half-naked superbeing in their yard might be a dream come true.
Unfortunately for Gracie Castro, it’s the exact opposite.
Especially when he’s grouchy, rude, and shows no signs of leaving anytime soon.
But when a hero of mankind needs you, you do what you have to.
Even if it compromises everything you know.
And totally changes your life.
And that's before things turn dangerous and weird.
So, yeah. Gracie and her grumbly superhero. They worked for me. Throw in some awful people who want to do very bad things to Gracie, a couple of epic freak-outs, a whole lot of super-family, and a very, VERY slow burn romance and WOW.
(Just so I'm clear, I didn't always like Mr Hotty Superhero's actions toward Gracie, but I do understand where he was coming from. No one likes being backed into a corner and dealing with the fallout from a rescue that didn't go as planned left a few unseen bruises he needed to work through. So, yeah. I didn't always love the glowering and anger, but I understood it. And in the end, I LIKED Gracie and her guy together. They worked. Nicely.)
