Try telling that to his beast, because one look at the maid and Braun knows he will do anything... anything, to claim her.
As you might imagine, this doesn't thrill the people putting said show on.
But that's another story for another day (or at least the next book). In the here and now, Braun sees Angela, his beast gets riled up, and Angela takes the leap to be with him. Ha. Right. If only it were that easy. It's more like Braun sees Angela, Angela climbs him like a tree, there's a tinnnnny case of accidental death (barely noticeable), and these two smitten individuals get separated by politics and diplomatic shenanigans AND a raging case of misunderstanding before things work themselves out.
In other words, we get a whole lot of story packed into their romance. *thumbs up*
