Synopsis (Goodreads):
Eugenia Swift is a young woman of singular sensibilities, and a connoisseur of beauty. As the director of the Leabrook Glass Museum, she's been asked to travel to Frog Cove Island -- an artistic haven near Seattle -- to catalog an important collection of art glass. But thanks to unsavory rumors surrounding the collector's death, the museum insists that Eugenia take along Cyrus Chandler Colfax -- a rough-hewn private investigator whose taste in glass runs to ice-cold bottles filled with beers.

When Colfax declares they must pose as a couple, Eugenia protests in a manner as loud as his Hawaiian shirts. She fears that her secret mission will be discovered...while he hopes that she will be a mask for his own hidden agenda. But soon their very lives depend on making an utterly convincing couple. Because among the chic galleries of Frog Cove Island lurks a killer, and their only chance for survival is the boldest, most artful collaboration they can dare to imagine.
Thoughts on Sharp Edges: I'm diving into the cutthroat world of glass antiquities and there's a whole lot going on here. A disarmingly laid-back PI on a quest for justice and the somewhat tightly wound director of a glass museum don't seem like they'd have much in common, but I always say a couple who stumbles over bodies together bond in the BEST sort of way.

Okay, I've never actually said that. But it's kind of true in Eugenia and Cyrus's case. I mean they actually start trusting one another (to an extent) and a little trust leads to other things. You know, like depending on the other person when the chips are down.

That said, it takes a while for these two to get where they need to be. Eugenia challenges Cyrus at every turn and he's not quite sure what to think of that. He tries his hardest to come off as non-threatening (and maybe a little bumbling), but Eugenia sees right past his garish shirts to the sharp mind beneath. And once these two drop their guards around one another THINGS HAPPEN.

A little danger, a mystery that has layers, a lot of smolder, and a couple who challenge each other in every way. *thumbs up*
