Synopsis (Goodreads):
Can a villain earn his happy ending?

Nox double-crossed the wrong people and now he’s on the run. Celestial Mates offers to place him with a young widow on a backwater planet. It seems the human female needs someone to plow her field.

As a mail-order husband?

Farming isn’t his thing, but working the land during the day and keeping the tempting female’s bed warm at night won’t be any hardship.

When his past catches up to him and threatens their happy little homestead, will Nox do what he does best and run? Or will he stay and fight for the female who carries his heart?
Thoughts on Tail Me No Lies: I have to admit I didn't think Nox could turn himself around and make me like him, but DANG he came out with charm blazing. And once he'd laid eyes on Ruth things got even more interesting.

I mean, Nox liked her. He might not have wanted to because his life is dangerous and he's on the run and all that, but Ruth stirred something in him that was hard to ignore. The fact that the situation she was in meant she wasn't bothered by his more bloodthirsty side (and in fact she kind of seemed to like it when it made an appearance) was a bonus. Because once you dig under the charm and flirting, Nox isn't the least bit worried about getting a little physical with people who need to be taught a lesson.

On Ruth's end, she's running on a tight timeline and her now-deceased boss's d-bag of a son is making things VERY difficult for her on a lot of fronts. Hiring Nox to help her out after her first plan fell through makes sense. The attraction she feels toward him and his flirty ways is a distraction, but she can totally ignore that. Until, you know, she can't.

A little danger, more than a little tension (of the good variety), a little more danger, a charming conman/thief/enforcer who happens to be good with people, and a lady who is determined to make a difference even if it puts her life in danger. GOOD STUFF.
