Thoughts on Hex and the City: No lie, Poppy's hair is a FORCE. It's chaotic, opinionated, and it isn't afraid to get involved in the things happening around Poppy. And it likes Alex/Axl a lot. Fortunately for both Alex and Poppy, Alex isn't much bothered by chaos hair pulling him close and giving him hugs.

So. Poppy and Alex. She's a witch who doesn't quite fit in with everyone around her. Her parents love her, but they don't quite understand her. The members of the coven definitely tolerate Poppy, but she doesn't quite fit in with the type of magic they have. Then a cursed amulet gets loosed on an unsuspecting Alex and suddenly secrets are working their way up and strange events are happening that Poppy (and Alex) never dreamed of.

On Alex's end, he's an illusionist who finds his person in a sexy witch with wild hair and real magic. It takes a bit for him to come to terms with the idea that magic is real, but he's pretty chill about it once he wraps his head around it. Given the adventures he finds himself on with Poppy, this is a good thing. You know, since THINGS happen around Poppy with surprising regularity.

Fabulous (magic) hair, a whole lot of secrets, parents who are incredibly supportive, magic, mayhem, a talented illusionist who falls hard for the witch who accidently sold him a cursed amulet, and a witch who is so much more than she ever thought she was. *thumbs up*
