Unfortunately for the killers, these people were important to Derek and Derek squeezes every drop of information out of them before he *ahem* moves on. Julie's on a case that intersects with Derek's and soon the two are hunting down the individual at the heart of this crime.

And that's where things get weird. Well, weirder. Let's just say there are bloodthirsty kinda-mermaids and a warlock who refuses to back down and magic that tries to subvert. Soon Derek and Julie are avoiding deadly pitfalls, facing off against dangerous hunters, and going toe to toe with some very old magic.

Derek and Julie. I'm all in with these two. Let's see where they go.
