The Bout of Books 5.0 read-a-thon is winding down (in a day or two) and I've had the weirdest week. Seriously. Weird. So I decided to indulge my need for some happy, happy thoughts. Have fun with them...
Things that make me happy!
1. All my bloggy, Twitter, internet friends who put up with me. You guys are awesome. I appreciate every one of you. You listen to me ramble, attempt to figure out what I'm trying to say through my fragmented, incoherent tweets and some of you *cough*@Rehvenge_BDB*cough* put up with me crawling all over your timeline like a nymph in heat. There are some days where the only thing keeping me sane is the knowledge that there are people out there JUST LIKE ME.
2. Anyone willing to talk books with me. It can't be a surprise that I LOVE books. I would roll naked in them if it wasn't so unsanitary. For the books. The fact there's an entire community of READERS out there who are just as happy to talk about sexy shapeshifters and bad boys with a heart of gold makes me giddy!
3. Speaking of shapeshifters... the entire paranormal genre makes me happy, happy, happy. Shapeshifters, vampires, demons... I ADORE all of them and would gladly roll around naked on them. Seriously. Nothing unsanitary going on there! Rawr!
4. What's a good round of book reading without a BIG cup of coffee? Oh, coffee, I'd roll around naked on you if it wouldn't leave burn marks. No, wait. I wouldn't do that. In fact I'm a little disturbed over my thought process right now. Time to move on.
5. Amanda! Guys, Amanda puts up with me like you wouldn't believe. She's talked me down off of ledges while I'm writing. She puts up with my crazy punctuation while we're writing. She totally calls me on my stupid typos. Which is funny when she points it out. Amanda rocks! *please note, I will not be rolling around naked on Amanda. I'm sure she appreciates that*
6. Dry erase markers and magnetic boards. I am insanely in love with my dry erase boards. I can write things and erase them and write them again. WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE???
I feel better now.
Tell me some of the things that make you happy. Lay it on me, peeps! I want to share your happy thoughts!
Lol, maybe you might want to re-title this post to: "Things I would roll around naked in/with"
ReplyDeleteLol! You're not wrong about that!
DeleteAww, I love it! I agree with Krista, though -- there seems to be a lot of things you'd roll around naked on!
ReplyDeleteI do love my Twitter friends and the fact that they will fangirl and gush over books with me. It's AWESOME! For some reason, my husband just isn't up to fangirling with me -- I just don't understand why?!?!?
What makes me happy?
Well, COFFEE, for one! I love my mornings with my Google Reader, my cup of coffee, and the SILENCE in the house. I also love ALL OF MY BOOKS. I seriously buy way too many, but I spend days reorganizing them (<-- I have close to 1,000, so this takes time) and entering them in spreadsheets, and doing all sorts of other non-productive things. I also love, love, love my dog Bailey. I have three dogs, but she's my absolute favourite. We cuddle and play and she makes me soo happy. Oh, and my HUSBAND! He makes me super happy as well. Mainly because he puts up with my reading, my coffee, and my fangirling. :)
Awww... I like your happy things. One of my dogs is named Bailey, too. She's a total sweetheart!
DeleteI do appreciate it when you don't roll around naked on me. I also appreciate when you listen to all my rants with the CAPITAL LETTERS and ALL THE SWEARING. I think you like the swearing, though.
ReplyDeleteI also love my bloggy and Twitter friends. And coffee. And my books, even if I feel like I don't have the time to read them. I also love the boyfriend. And his dog. That's not a euphemism, by the way (though if it were, it'd be true). He has a dog named Neilly, and I love her. I also love flavored vodka.
I think you forgot about your magnetic poetry kit. That should go up there with your whiteboard.
I do like the swearing. It makes me smile.
DeleteOMG! Yes, my magnetic poetry! How could I forget about that??? *huggles my magnetic poetry like whoa*
*but not really because the pieces are kinda small*
Coffee. Sitting in book stores for hours. Cooking. More coffee. And some more coffee.
ReplyDelete*piles on all the coffee*

So.... coffee is on your list? Huh. I didn't see that coming!
DeleteI love how this just OOZES your personality. I couldn't agree more with all of your loves. Except the dry erase fascination. I'm more a paper/pen fanatic. Definitely a #penwhore.
ReplyDeleteI love pens, too! There's something very satisfying about writing and erasing. I can make lists and lists and more lists. FABULOUS!
DeleteI love dry erase markers and boards! I think that spawned out of my love for doodling when I was kiddo and always running out of paper. With dry erase boards it is like a never ending pad of paper! You just can't go wrong!
ReplyDeleteI love school supplies in general--though I am way past school supply age. I do go into stores during back to school time to look at trapper keepers. I also try to justify getting one but can never quite do it LOL
I buy office supplies at the beginning of the school year. It's so fun! I love my post it notes and new pens! YAY!
