This time around, we have Jillian and Jakkan. She's a human enjoying her freedom on Reka 5. He's one of the individuals feeing intel to the colony to help keep them safe. This means there are layers to Jakkan. He can don a disguise and become someone else if he needs to and this leads to a bit of a misunderstanding with Jillian. Mostly because she remembers what it means to be in the hands of a Dominion captain on a Dominion ship.
Fortunately, this misunderstanding is relatively brief. Unfortunately, Jillian ends up abducted by someone looking for Jakkan. No worries, though. The good folk of Reka 5 aren't about to stand by and do nothing when one of their own is taken. Maybe even more importantly, Jakkan is willing to do everything in his power to rescue his special lady. Even use the Dominion's laws to his own end.
A little danger, a little bloodlust, a little misunderstanding, a male who is willing to upend his existence for his special someone, and a lady who knows a good male when she meets him (after she gets over the misunderstanding part). *thumbs up*
