Review: Coronation by Lee F. Jordan

Coronation by Lee F. Jordan
Synopsis (Goodreads):
An ancient evil. An impossible mystery. And one man with a dark gift caught between the two. Jon David Stickle never asked for his gift. Never understood how to use it. But when twenty-four men die horribly aboard a submarine, he is trapped in a timeless mystery with something sinister. Something without a name that knows about his gift And it wants it.
My Thoughts: Some books grab the creepy and run with it. This is one of those books. It's creepy in a delicious, gross, horrifying sort of way. Like I always say -- When the viscera starts flowing, I start smiling. (Actually, I don't think I've ever said that, but I just might start!)

Weaving the unexplained disappearances of three ships from the past with the tragedy of a present day mystery, we're forced gather the pieces of the story slowly to reveal something that's horrible and intense.  Jon David's gift leads him to a dark place but it also provides answers that would otherwise be left hidden.

Intriguing, bloody, and sometimes downright disturbing, this book isn't for those with a weak stomach. The deaths are creative and gruesome but it's those that don't die that really make the creep factor hit an all time high.

  1. Hmm ... I have a weak stomach. But it DOES sound pretty good! I think a little gore is necessary for this time of year.

  3. No weak stomach here. (Unless it comes to actual eating of food. Then my stomach is delicate. You're welcome for the over share.)
