Synopsis (Goodreads):
Beautiful and elegant, Miss Diana Highwood is destined to marry a wealthy, well-placed nobleman. At least, that's what her mother has loudly declared to everyone in Spindle Cove.

But Diana's not excited by dukes and lords. The only man who makes her heart pound is the village blacksmith, Aaron Dawes. By birth and fortune, they couldn't be more wrong for each other...but during stolen, steamy moments in his forge, his strong hands feel so right.

Is their love forged strong enough to last, or are they just playing with fire?
My Thoughts: One of the things I love about these Spindle Cove books is that you get to see the inner workings of a man like Aaron Dawes. In book 1, Bram thought he was under the thumb of the spinsters of the town because he saw him doing delicate repair work on a locket. In truth, Aaron is just at home designing delicate bits of jewelry as he is shoeing a horse or making dozens upon dozens of nails. He loves the women in the town, he loves that he's a protector of its people, he loves that he's carved out his niche.

In truth, he's exactly the opposite of what Bram thought of him. He's happy with himself. He's secure in what he can do with his hands and with the little bits of metal that make their way across his forge. He's doing what he loves doing.

Whereas, Diana has always been seen as the calm, placid one. The one who was lovely to look at, sweet as a... really sweet thing, and delicate because of her breathing problems. Watching her break out of her shell was downright fun. Watching her stand up to her overbearing Mama was a hoot. Watching her make the decision to live and love with everything inside her was outstanding.

That's right, Diana, you grab that bull by his... err, horn and let him know that you know what you want!

YES, I am still smitten with these books. They're just so delicious!
