Let's recap, shall we:
Time Devoted to Reading
I dedicated my entire week to the readathon. I also worked a bit on the book I'm writing. Sorta. More in theory than in actual practice.
My Goals
I was aiming to read 10 books. I read 16. Most of them were of the full-length variety (several over the 400 page mark) with a novella or two thrown in.
So. Books read:

- Southampton Swindle by Tracy Cooper-Posey - 01/08/14
- Leannan by Rosalind Scarlett - 01/11/14

Number of books I’ve read today: 3
Total number of books I’ve read: 3
Books read: Caged in Bone, Dark Lover, The Sins of Zahrah
Today #insixwords: Watching Amanda made my Twitter chat! (watching her try to jail herself, that is!)
Things I learned on Twitter: When Amanda tries too hard to jail herself, she can't. You must let the jailing flow through you, young grasshopper. Then the Twitter gods will snatch your ability to tweet away. 'Tis the way of things, I'm afraid. Anyway. The chat was a blast. I admitted to my drunken book signing shenanigans *cough*I was only tipsy, I swear*cough* and I got a good jump on my Seriously Series books on day one! WOOT!
Final Tally: An apocalypse, a cadre of vampires, and one thoroughly awful woman.

Total number of books I’ve read: 6
Books read: That Voodoo You Do, Reaper's Touch, Blood Knot
Today #insixwords: I had a few threesomes today.
Things I learned on Twitter: My little nephew likes to run around my house pantless while shouting "NAKED BOY IS BACK!" Honestly, this is SO typical for my family. Anyway. I did a bunch of stuff I couldn't remember doing until Amanda reminded me. On a more #boutofbooks-y note, guys, the only way you can "fail" Bout of Books is to not read at all. No more negative self-talk, peeps. If you're reading, you're doing it right!
Final Tally: A threesome that saves the world, cowboys vs zombies, and a threesome that is SMOKIN'.

Books read: Southampton Swindle
Today #insixwords: Fast-paced chat plus quality writing time!
Things I learned on Twitter: I decided I needed to get back to writing so I could start planning out my next book release. While I didn't get as much reading done today, I did manage to host the Twitter chat and it was a good one. I don't know how time can fly so quickly during those things! One minute we're starting and the next I'm rushing to make sure the final question gets asked before time is up! So, great chat AND I got some writing done. I call today a win!
Final Tally: Two dead sexy men who like to steam up the sheets.

Total number of books I’ve read: 10
Books read: Unraveled, A GLA to be named later, Stolen
Today #insixwords: Two good books, one that hurt.
Things I learned on Twitter: I put The Wicked Woods, book 1 in my Monstrous Tales series, up as a freebie on Amazon and Amanda will be doing a #GLA read-along to it tomorrow. I know I did other stuff today but I'm tired and can't think of what.
Final Tally: A fantastic historical, a not-so-great erotica book, and a werewolf in a tight spot.

Books read: Soulless
Today #insixwords: Next stop: Murder Motel. Err... wait.
Things I learned on Twitter: I had to work at the Murder Motel today. Okay, fine. It's not a motel and nobody's been murdered there. BUT... people do drop dead of natural causes with surprising frequency. The point I'm attempting to make is I only managed to get one book read today. And also, that apartment complex could very possibly be built on an old Indian burial mound. I'd believe anything at this point. Also, HEY, I totally read all my reread books! YAY, ME!
Final Tally: One soulless woman and the werewolf who finds her intriguing.

Number of books I’ve read today: 4
Total number of books I’ve read: 15
Books read: Love Bites, Leannan, Witch Hunt, Dime Store Magic
Today #insixwords: Unable to string six words together.
Things I learned on Twitter: I was not on Twitter today. Alas, that is the price I pay for helping out at the Murder Motel. On the plus side, I read a metric fuckton of books. As one does when they have no internet and no human interaction during the day. Did you notice I read ALL the books I'd planned to read PLUS some? I don't think I've ever killed my entire list before. I LIKE IT!
Final Tally: A vampiric duo, a sexually confused vampiress, a witch who needs more bang for his buck, and an otherworldy woman.

Total number of books I’ve read: 16
Books read: Lover Eternal
Today #insixwords: #boutofbooks - fun but exhausting for me.
Things I learned on Twitter: By the end of the read-a-thon, I tend to go into hermit mode and hole up away from social media. It happens every time. I had a great time and I made a HUGE dent in both my Seriously Series rereads and my review requests. YAY!
Final Tally: A cursed vampire and the woman who loves him.
Final Thoughts: I am RIDICULOUSLY excited at how many rereads I finished up here. I had a great time at the chats and LOVE the level of excitement people have for this read-a-thon.
Thank you to everyone who commented and cheered, read and chatted! I had a great time!
Make sure you're following the Bout of Books blog so you know when the next Bout of Books rolls around (and also so you know when the mid-break chat is being held).
