Synopsis (Goodreads):
Eli Carter has a new job hunting ghosts.Thoughts on Bring on the Poltergeists: Following up directly from book 1, we get to see Eli tackling his new job, an unexpected side of Brenda (maybe), and the shenanigans Khan can get up to when on the case. Oh, and Eli gains a pet cat wraith. Sort of. It might be more Brenda's than his. I'm still not sure that's her name, btw. Which, honestly, is no reflection on the author's writing and more because I have this habit of blocking things I dislike from my memory. And, well, I'm not real keen on Eli's lady friend.
His boss, smooth-talking Khan Hart, assures him their first official case is an easy one. A slam dunk. A home run.
But the job doesn't go according to play. Either this poltergeist doesn't play by the rules, or they're dealing with something else entirely.
In Ghost Hackers Book 2, Bring on the Poltergeists, fun and games turn deadly.
Welcome to Ghost Hackers, the series. Readers will be given entertainment and/or space rabies.
Anyway. Eli. New job. I'm not going to lie, I expect he's found his niche, his calling, the thing he can do better than any other thing. I also expect it's not going to be an easy job. What would you expect with a guy like Khan running the show, though? Khan's not exactly the most conventional person around. I will say he's fun and he has ideas that make me grin, but he's likes to take the hardest path down the mountain and that will make it tough on Eli down the road.
We're given a little more information on Eli and his chip, hints of something mysterious and potentially dangerous who's now aware of him, and ghosts. Ghosts who like to cause problems. Fun all around, I say!
