Synopsis (Goodreads):
I'd never get my ass across the Vampire-infested desert without the help of this sexy Bear Shifter....

Griz

Before I saw her, I was content to let the world fall down around me. So what if everything was going to Hell? The Shifters could fight their war and the Vampires could pick up the pieces.

I didn't care who lived or died, not even if the next corpse the world made was my own

And then I met her...

A sexy woman with the power to change things and the drive to make me care again. I'd die for her, if it came to that.

Cherry

What can I say? There are Vampires everywhere. Werewolves waiting to ambush me. All of that and the rest of the human trash are trying to stand between me and destiny.

Too bad for them...

At least I have Griz, though. He's all Bear, all muscle, all sex appeal and all mine!

I've got a place to be and a rough road ahead, but there's no way I'll be able to keep my hands off of my gorgeous companion. I can't help myself. I have to have him...
Thoughts on Grizzly: I really liked this book... right up until the end. The worldbuilding was pretty stellar (gritty, dangerous world full of shifters, vamps, and magic) and Cherry and Griz had some chemistry. The ending, however, felt like a cop-out.

While I realize not everybody needs a happy ending in their books, I like my characters to have them. And this? Was NOT a happy ending. Hell, I would have been happy with them sniping at one another and having dirty make-up sex as they defended the free lands from the badness coming down, but no. After all Cherry and Griz fought through to reach their objective, it kinda sucked.

While the argument could be made for sacrifices and the greater good, I just didn't care for it. Sad, because I would have been all over them fighting their way across the deserts and finding some way around the prophecy surrounding Cherry and her sisters.

  1. That is weird. Was this a romance novel or is this more like a UF where the story continues and maybe the HEA is later in a series? Sorry this one wasn't great for you. I was interested until you told me how it ended.

    1. The blurb says it's a standalone, so I don't think we're going to see more with these two particular characters. I dunno. I only know I was VERY disappointed in the ending.
