Synopsis (Goodreads):
You want my hands on you, Celia. Making you shiver, making you moan, making you scream. Admit it.

Celia Villarreal had wanted those things with Ryland Brody, Bitterthorn’s golden boy—and wanted them badly enough to make a fool of herself one idiotic night months ago.

Naughty children shouldn’t touch what they don’t own.

Rejection always stings, but putting a move on Ry had devastating consequences. Now her regret burns as bright as her need—until Ry, as glorious as ever, makes her an offer that might finally be her ticket out of town.

I’m not your enemy, darlin’. If you give me half a chance, you’ll see that I can be your hero.

When working together leads to grinding all naked-like with the very cowboy who’s seen her at her worst, Celia is afraid she’s made a mistake.

Until the truth comes out.

This is who we are from now on. Say it. Feel it.

Once Ry’s past motivations come to light, Celia must decide if she can give him another chance or turn her back on Bitterthorn—and the one man who’s always wanted her—for good.
Thoughts on Branded: Okay. Ry is OVER THE TOP and if Celia wasn't such a feisty firecracker, she wouldn't be able to handle him. Heck, as feisty as she is, she still nearly caved under the emotional shunning she received after her and Ry's initial run-in.

For the record, while what Ry did was harsh, the good people of Bitterthorn hurt her far more by turning on her. And if that entire situation wasn't a pickle of enormous proportions, I don't know what is.

But enough about pickles, let's talk about Ry and Celia. He's hardheaded and used to getting his way. While I understand (to an extent) where he was coming from when he did what he did AND how things sort of got out of hand after (which will remain intentionally vague, thankyouverymuch), I still harbor this tiny ember of want in my heart that certain people will be made to feel the sting of Celia's wrath for many years to come. I guess I'm just vindictive like that.

Hold up, I think I got off track somewhere. Ry is hardheaded. Celia's also hardheaded. They're going to have A LOT of sexy make-up times in their future, methinks. Because Ry is very, VERY used to seeing the path he needs to take and just barreling in and taking it, without worrying about whose toes he might be stepping on. Guess what? Celia's not one to stand for that. She wants (and deserves) to have a say in her life and she's not afraid to let Ry know that.

While I didn't always agree with Ry's methods, I really did like these two together. If this book is any indication, the rest of the Brody brothers are going to have their work cut out for them when it comes to finding and corralling their special someone. (I can't say I'm disappointed at that IN THE LEAST!)
