Synopsis (Goodreads):
“You’re coming with me.”

When Killian Brody showed up at Dallas Faircloth’s work with news that her half-brother might die without her help, she never expected the oldest and sexiest Brody to kidnap her to ensure her cooperation.

The scandalous affair between Dallas’s mother and Killian’s father made everything inside Dallas revolt at the Brody name. It was because of a Brody her life had been left in ruins at the age of eight, and she’d had to rebuild all on her own. She hated the Brodys. Which was too bad, really. Killian Brody was take-charge, arrogant and so damn sexy she would have climbed him like a tree if it weren’t for that last name of his.

Her weak-willed mother had proven to her that the men in the Brody family were as addictive as any drug, and Dallas didn’t want to get hooked. But when Killian turns his sights on her and makes her believe she’s his greatest weakness, she has a choice—play it safe, or dive in headfirst and risk falling in love with a Brody man.
Thoughts on Bruised: Dallas and Killian's first meeting is...well, rough is the word that comes to mind. He's demanding and unmovable. She's wary and defensive. With his baby brother's life hanging in the balance, he goes into overprotective mode and does some things that put Dallas's back up even further.

Plus, he's a, you know, Brody and the Brody family has been at the source of most of the heartache and disruption in her life. Which isn't Killian's fault because he had nothing to do with the things that happened before, but the Brody name doesn't ignite happy feelings in Dallas when she hears it and she acts accordingly.

AS ONE DOES.

But Dallas is also a realist. She might not love Killian's way of doing things, but she'll do anything to protect her younger brother. WHO HAPPENS TO BE A BRODY. Do you see how that could complicate things?

The family dynamics might be a little tangled, but the chemistry between Dallas and Killian...actually, that's a little tangled, too. Because of their respective parents' asshattery, they're both wary about getting involved. At first. But a scorching kiss or two leads to other things and soon their parents are the last thing they're thinking about.

Those Brodys, man. They're good at tackling challenges and coming out on top. I'm talking about more than just their business ventures, too. They fall for stubborn, fiery women and they have to WORK to earn their trust. I LIKE THAT.

The final (and, possibly, the most complicated) brother is the only one who hasn't fallen and fallen hard. I AM READY!
