Synopsis (Goodreads):
Taulan joi Lana Coburn, War Master of the Preor third fleet, is finally having his wishes granted. He has a mate and will soon have two dragonlets to protect and love. But only if he can live to see them born. Or, as his Lana says, hatched.

This short story is set in the DRAGONS OF PREOR world and does not stand alone. It should be read after ZADRI and is a little bite of family life for those who fell in love with the Preor dragons.
Thoughts on Hatched: Oh, the joys of childbirth. Or perhaps I should say "the joys of childbirth when you're the first human giving birth to a human/Preor hybrid (or TWO hybrids, in this case) and when your mate is bonded to you on a practically spiritual level and can feel everything you're feeling."

Aliens, man. I love 'em.

Anywho. I get a kick out of big, strong warriors felled by the pain that goes along with this blessed event. Because childbirth hurts and now the Preor dudes get to see just how much. Also, cranky mothers-to-be always lighten my mood. Which sounds weird when I say it, but I like how rageful women get when they're in the midst of doing their thing.

Dragons! Baby dragons! They're coming!
