Synopsis (Goodreads):
A (brokenhearted) physicist.Thoughts on Time: Oh.My.Goodness. Abram and Mona killed me. They got past the well-intentioned lie Mona told him. They got past his anger. They got past her guilt over lying...well, wait. The guilt over lying, yeah, but Mona still has this weird kernel of guilt festering inside her that stems from thinking she has to be more than everyone around her to worthy of people's love.
Now an infamous (who is LITERALLY EVERYWHERE!! UGH!) musician.
The worst has already happened.
Mona has learned that she has nothing figured out and plans are meaningless. After leaving her in Aspen, Abram is now breaking sales-records, rising to rock star fame almost overnight. Mona can’t seem to escape him. He is literally everywhere, or at least images of him are.
Just when she thinks things can't get any more confusing, Abram returns . . . What happens next? Only TIME will tell.
Man, that one hurt. Her candid talk with Lisa revealed a couple layers of her issues. Marie's insights to Abram uncovered even more. Mona gives everything and expects almost nothing in return. She's been conditioned to this since she was a kid and it's a hard habit for her to break.
Buuuuut...both her siblings are (finally) stepping up and being more family-like. Which is awesome. Because their parents are kind of...meh. Mona coming clean about what happened when she was fifteen opened both Lisa and Leo's eyes that they needed to be there for one another.
FAMILY! YAY!
Speaking of which, how awesome is Marie? Abram's sister is a peach and I loooooved seeing her again. (If you haven't read her book in the KitC series, GO FORTH AND READ IT!) As awesome as Marie is, Abram's willingness to listen and learn from her was even more awesome. For all he's a big time rock star, he's pretty well adjusted. His family is solid and supportive, so it could have been easy for him to just...not see what Marie was trying to explain about neglected children.
Oh, man. I just have so much love for this series (and anything PR writes, honestly. Her books make me ridiculously happy.). Mona and Abram are front and center, but it's the entire cast of characters who help them shine.
