Synopsis (Goodreads):
If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one.Thoughts on From Lukov with Love: Good gravy, I'm loving Mariana Zapata's slow burn romances. Let me tell you, it takes a looooong time for Jasmine to warm up to Ivan. They're both so argumentative with one another that it takes an act of nature (well, not quite, but pretty close to that!) to get her to see him as anything other than her tormentor and adversary.
After seventeen years—and countless broken bones and broken promises—she knows her window to compete in figure skating is coming to a close.
But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot she’s spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything.
Including Ivan Lukov.
But once she sees him, she SEES him. And all those inconvenient feelings she's been pushing down for ages bubble up.
For his part, Ivan grumps and growls, but he's...I don't know. I think he's always seen Jasmine, he just didn't know how to tell her. Better to be irritating and on your lady's mind than forgotten, right?
These two were feisty and sometimes mean to one another (unintentionally, but still), but they were dedicated. Their romance bloomed from shared experiences and a desire to be the best they could be. Plus, they were at their best when they were poking at one another.
While I'd never say these two were enemies, exactly, they were certainly glorious in their adversarial face-offs. SO MUCH FUN!
