I've been tooling around with the Xylan Warriors and their special someones since the beginning and I'm still getting a kick out of how quickly things progress once they find and confirm the lady in question is the one and only who can kindle a fire in their blood. And other parts. Heh.

Daxon is a little different from the other Xylans we've met. He's pretty sure his stowaway is his mate before they touch simply by scenting her. Which makes him DETERMINED to get her to agree to test mating compatibility before she leaves his ship. Because a Xylan gets one chance at mating/marriage and Daxon isn't about to let his Bride slip through his fingers. And he's definitely not going to just hand her over to the man screaming that she's his.

On Darcy's part, she's not as keen on the idea of tying herself to ANYONE so soon after escaping a marriage to a truly vile man from New Earth. On the other hand, Daxon's honorable and sexy and he turns her on like no one ever has before, but she's gunshy enough she can't contemplate mating just yet.

Until, you know, she can.
