Synopsis (Goodreads):
Rex has sworn to guard the young queen, Britta of Downsriver, at all costs. He has also sworn to love her forever…secretly, of course. A relationship between a hulking, lowly palace guard and the queen is impossible. Still, when he hears Britta crying one night, he can’t help but offer his king-sized embrace as comfort. Rex is shocked when Britta is not repelled by him in the least. Miracle of miracles, she is eager for much more than solace. The penalty for putting his filthy hands on the virgin queen is death, but what a way to go...
Thoughts on King Sized: Sometimes you just need a little over-the-top romance to get you through the day. Rex and Britta's thang is definitely that. After all, he's the royal guard who's thoroughly smitten with his charge and she's the newly crowned queen just trying to figure out how to make things work after a terrible tragedy.

He offers comfort, she accepts. The next thing you know they're getting frisky at the swimming hole.

Then they get even more than frisky and yessssss.

Hurt, comfort, a deadly plot, and one fiercely protective guard who will do ANYTHING for his queen. Good stuff.
