Synopsis (Goodreads):
Can she create a new family with an alien warrior?

On the anniversary of the disappearance of Mariah’s sister and nephew, Mariah returns to their last known location, expecting to find only painful memories. Instead, she encounters an alien spaceship and recklessly sneaks aboard, taking one last chance to be reunited with her family.

The desperate move sends her across the galaxy and straight into the arms of a massive alien warrior who is determined to protect her. But no matter how much she is drawn to him, she will not be distracted from her goal—to find her missing family at all costs.

Years ago, when Captain Cestov and his brother argued over the fate of their dying race, his brother stormed out of his life. He has been searching for him ever since. He never expected his search to lead him to a distant planet, a troubled ranch, and a little boy who calls him Daddy. And he certainly never expected an enticing human female who makes him consider putting down roots for the first time.

Neither Mariah nor Cestov ever thought they would find a permanent home. But can their shared love for a child help them to move on to a new future as a family? Or will the ghosts from their pasts tear them apart?
Thoughts on A Son for the Alien Warrior: Oh, man, I like these alien warriors. They're strong, patient, and resigned to living a life alone after the bulk of the females of their kind were wiped out. As it turns out, they're not fated to stay alone like they thought and I LOVE THAT.

Seriously. A warrior who can't control his tail around the person he's attracted to (which sounds weird, but it's seriously adorable when their tail goes wandering off to stealthily wrap around their lady friend's wrist or ankle or waist) and who tries to fight their attraction with everything inside them because they *think* their species isn't compatible with any other species makes my heart happy.

On the surface, Cestov and Mariah look like they're not suited. GUESS WHAT, THOUGH? They are. Cestov might think he wants a nomadic life among the stars and Mariah might be determined to find her sister and nephew and figure out a way to settle down, but the universe has other plans for them. The situation they find on the planet their search leads them to goes a long way toward setting them on the right path.

Aliens and humans FOREVER, guys. I just love when they hook up.
