Synopsis (Goodreads):
Dr. Daria Lovejoy, advice maven for the galaxy, can't talk her way out when she's kidnapped by a pirate. But then, why would she want to?

Jark Steele may be as fearsome as the space pirate on the cover of Daria’s favorite romance, but he’s also much, much more. He battled his way out of the slums of Earth I with his immense size and brawn, but this cruiser pilot has brains as well. And he’s not missing this chance to prove it to the woman of his dreams.

When Daria discovers Jark saved her from being snatched by kidnappers hired by her own fiancé, she rewards him and herself with a night of passion. She discovers this man of steel is one alpha male who knows how to make a woman feel ravished ... in the best possible way.

But despite her fame for urging others to go after their dreams, will she find the courage to grasp all that’s possible in their newfound passion … or will she retreat behind her safe, public persona?
Thoughts on Heart of Steel: Being kidnapped (for her own good) by a man Daria thinks could be a sexy pirate is hardly the worst thing that could have happened to the good doctor. I mean, Jark could have been out to actually do the job her fiance was trying to hire someone to do. And Jark could have been a real pirate instead of just looking like one (a sexy, sexy one!). And things could have gone very badly for her from the moment she was snatched.

Instead, Daria ends up with a sexy, polite, massively muscled pilot who really only wants to help her. In other words, she hit the sexy dude jackpot.

As for Jark, he's been smitten with the lovely Daria for years and has no problem stepping in to save her from her jerk of a fiance. And if she happens to throw caution to the wind and spend a night in his arms, who is he to tell her no?

There's a little more to their relationship than that, though. For one, Daria's not one to jump into things and Jark is more than ready to call her his. As you can imagine, that causes a wee bit of friction. Then they make up and create friction in the best way and GOOD TIMES, MAN. GOOD TIMES.

A fake kidnapping, a sexy pirate, and a woman learning to let go. I like.
