Dashing through the snow is no fun when you're running for your life...Thoughts on The Alien Reindeer's Joy: I'm still getting a kick out of these reindeer shifters, but I'm having a hard time divorcing myself from the mythology laid out in previous stories (for the record, these books are all stand-alones with separate mythology and characters from book to book). I'm going to go on record as saying I was on A LOT of cold meds while I was reading this particular book, so I might have mixed up other releindeer abilities with the abilities of this particular gentleman.
For reindeer shifter Kaelar, Christmas means a lot more than caroling and hot chocolate. Without him and his fellow reindeer working for Santa, excess joy would go to waste instead of into the hearts of children who need it.
Kaelar is committed to the season and the work that comes with it—even when it means working against evil aliens whose mission is to vacuum away all the joy the reindeer fight to keep alive.
