Synopsis (Goodreads):
A Cynical Cyborg Meets A Bad, Bad Female.

Chuckles hates all humans. In the past, humans betrayed him. That treachery caused permanent damage to his muscular form, resulting in a lifespan of pain.

When the primitive D Model cyborg answers a distress call sent by a pink-and-blue haired, sparkly human female, he knows it’s a trap. He still has to respond to her fake cry for help. She belongs to him, is the one being genetically fabricated for him. But he plans to be her captor, not her captive.

Bettina, aka Bait, works with a team of females, snaring sexual predators in space, seizing their ships and transporting them to primitive planets. As soon as she speaks with Chuckles, she knows he’s not like the others. He has honor, is a being worthy of respect, of caring.

But she can’t let him go. She has to trap him. His dominance thrills her. His deep voice evokes desires she’d never experienced in the past. She’ll risk it all, breaking every rule for one wild encounter with the male she calls Sir.
Thoughts on Choosing Chuckles: The cyborgs are out patrolling the section of space they've claimed as their own and...it's a little boring. You know, since the cyborgs thrive on danger and war and there's not much of either of those in the sector they're patrolling. Things take a slightly more thrilling turn once Chuckles hears his special someone's voice on a fake distress call. Not only has he found his lady, but she's a liar who uses her wiles to draw in predators which puts her in danger.

No lie, Bettina was fun. She's sparkly and upbeat and is (mostly) aware of the potential danger she could be in if anything were to go wrong. Chuckles is neither sparkly nor upbeat, but the two of them hit it off something fierce. Possibly (don't quote me on this, though) because Bettina gets a kick out of his gruff, growly, unsmiling exterior and he's fascinated by how much she enjoys his demands and desire to control situations.

A grumpy cyborg and an over-the-top human. They don't seem like they'd be compatible, but SPARKS FLY when they come together. Or maybe that's just Bettina's body glitter. Either way, Chuckles is okay with it.
