Synopsis (Goodreads):
Derrix figured a mate would be nothing but asking for trouble.
For heartache.
Heartbreak.

When the teleporter delivers another luscious human female, he can only hope she's not for him.

But she is.

And unlike the other women, she's happy and excited about her new adventure. They're about to move into a new, dangerous phase of the mission.

How can he keep her, and his heart, safe?
Thoughts on Derrix: The next in the crew is about to be matched and...she's a little more excited about her circumstances than any of the other women have been. By that, I mean Wiley volunteered to be tested for compatibility and she's ready to give this new relationship she suddenly found herself in her all.

On the other hand, Derrix isn't quite as thrilled. He doesn't want to risk his heart and with the dangerous mission he and the rest of the crew are currently engaged in, having a new mate to potentially lose sounds like a recipe for disaster to him. Yet, he ends up with a human honey of his own and he gets on board the mating train. Eventually.

The good news is there are some solid inroads into finding the artifact the crew was sent to acquire. There's also a little danger, but that's to be expected, right? That said, with one crew member still unmated, I highly doubt their journey is at an end just yet. I mean, they went through the trouble of finding the darn thing, might as well see what sort of damage it can do, right?
